Russian Big Muff (green) Manufacturer: Electro-Harmonix / Sovtek - green edition - LED - No DC-Jack - Transistor - no True Bypass - various prints & enclosures http://www.guitarzone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115721 i personally prefer the sovtek(russian) ones, they are rowdy and so versitle, but i wouldn't really consider big muff's as a fuzz, it's more of a distortion, really naughty and nasty one... you can get bee buzz (seek and destroy intro type of sound) to bass mayhem sounds, and everything in between... there is a whole gear review section in GTU and also harmonycentral.com vintage one as GREEN RUSSIAN BIG MUFF PI with TALL LETTERING, yes it would be awesome, but it's realllllllllllly rare russian muff, i believe has two green versions and two black versions, i heard two black ones do not sound different but difference in lettering and position and calling sustain a distortion and vice versa. green ones do have differences (tall lettering vs small lettering), i read on HC that op-amp versions suck then a non-op-amp versions (i don't know what o a means, probably a component in a product), the sovtek products are from recycled army gears, like land mines, and such, it's hard to believe but it should be true.. WORKS WONDERFULLY! BOUGHT NEW AND TAKEN GREAT CARE OF!!!!!!!!!!!!
