Here we have up for grabs my awesome BIG MUFF! Hands down the most fun distortion pedal I've owned. Bought this one new in 1995ish & it's been fairly gently handled ever since. Some of the army-green paint has chipped away but it is otherwise in 'like new' condition. This flavor of BIG MUFF is considered THE SOVTEK “GREEN RUSSIAN” BIG MUFF Pi - VERSION 7 Revision C. This one was made in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1994ish. Urban legend would have us believe these MUFFs were made with Russian military-grade surplus materials. That is unlikely but the ultra-durable metal outer shell might help it last thru the next world war. ha ha! This unit is fully functional and all original parts are intact... Original military-style wooden case, original black Volume, Distortion & Tone knobs and the original battery compartment cover...which seems to be a rarity among used MUFFs. Another rare feature of this particular pedal is the lettering. This one features the earlier 'tall' / 'skinny' letters to spell out BIG MUFF. Most of these 'Russian Greens' on eBay are of the later 'bubble' variety lettering. Chances are good that if you are viewing this auction you know a good deal about what this pedal has to offer your guitar playing experience. Devastating distortion which you can range from mild to crushing, very broad tone sweep & virtually infinite sustain! I even ran my bass thru this at some gigs which allowd me to mimic 6-string guitar sounds when we needed them.
