For your consideration is this vintage, rare, and highly sought-after Univox U-1095 Super Fuzz electric guitar fuzz pedal. First released in the late 60's, the Super Fuzz was immediately lauded as one of the better units on the market, and was used by Pete Townshend replacing his TONEBENDER, and SUPA FUZZ...yikes! The first incarnations of the pedal were in an unassuming Maestro-esque gray die-cast wedge unit, however in the early 1970s Univox made the switch to the more recognizable orange die-cast box with the blue embossed hinged top. Features of the Super Fuzz are simple, consisting only of Balance and Expander controls, and a 2-way Tone Selector switch. That being said, these simple controls yield myriad tonal options from a slight bite to wailing, seemingly unending sustain. This particular unit is in perfect working condition, and excellent cosmetic condition showing very few signs of wear or use. The back plate does certainly show its age, however the rest of the unit is in remarkably good shape. All of the tone controls work as they should without popping, scratching or noise, and the sound that comes out of this thing is...well...Who-worthy! Also check out the original box! Obviously the pedal was stored in here by the previous owner, as well as us at our store, because it has taken the brunt of the elemental assault over the decades.
